Being a new mom means trying new things for the first time and learning a lesson not to do it again the next time. I know some of you may be big fans of JCPenney Portraits but I had a terrible experience. I'm trying to an optimist but it so isn't me. I took Christian to get his 5 month pictures taken and I was so disappointed. When we arrived at the portrait studio the woman made us wait because she had some other things to attend to even though we had an appointment. So Christian and I waited patiently for her to finish. Once we were finally called back to get started I felt like she was rushing me to get going but I looked past that and kept moving. Finally we got Christian ready for his first shot and he took one look at the woman and started crying. After figuring out that he just didn't want to look at the woman he wanted to look at mommy, we decided to have me make him laugh instead of the photo woman. That worked for the most part, but in the end she only ended taking about 9 frames. Most of them weren't centered, parts of his body were cut off or it just was a bad picture overall. I was so upset but decided to keep my cool and pick the pictures that I did like and not focus on what I didn't like (even though I only liked about two of them). While I was ordering my prints I said to myself "I guess you get what you pay for." I had coupons for $3.99 a sheet and she sure did a $3.99 a sheet job. Once we finished up I heard the woman saying she had to hurry up and finish her next appointment so she could leave early. So I pretty much got a rush job done because she had to leave early. Well I sure learned my lesson, you get what you pay for! Oh, and on top of it all you have to wait two weeks before your prints come back. I guess I got spoiled going to the Picture People where you leave the same day with your pictures and they do a wonderful job. Picture People here we come.....

High Tea Party
Well for those of you who don't know, I am a part of a few moms groups which I just love. One of the moms groups (Mocha Moms) held a high tea party which was just fabulous. The tea party was hosted by Mocha Savena at her lovely home. This gave everyone the opportunity to dress for a formal occasion which we so rarely get to do. Since we are dealing with children you can imagine it didn't last to long (before the clothes were changed for the moms and children). I was just pleased to have made it through the 30 minutes without any spit up getting on my dress. Christian just loves leaving his mark on his mother.
The children really enjoyed themselves as they dined on the finest finger foods and the best tea. They were treated like complete royalty.
Here are some of the children that attended. Don't they look fabulous!
And here are the fabulous Mocha's! Who said you can't still look good at a formal occasion with the children in tow and in tact. Looking good ladies!
Ibrahim, Idrissa and Christopher looking debonair in their suits. Aren't they just handsome!
Mocha Savena and her twin girls (the two to the right)
After all the glitz and glam the children took a more informal approach and went for a dip in the pool. They had a blast. Everyone had such a great time. This is definitely something that must be done again. Who knew you could have such a great time with your children at a tea party. It was great.

Look At Me!!
So as you can see he likes to eat his feet. Ever since Christian discovered he has feet he just won't leave them be. Or it could be that he's still hungry. That always seems to be the case.
Now that the feet no longer tastes good he turns his attention to his favorite show..The Wonder Pets. His favorite character is Ming Ming the Duck....Go figure.

Mr. Christian
Ok...so I am new to the blogging thing. I am sitting here like what in the world do I talk about. Well now that my world revolves around Mr. Christian why not make it all about him. I also figured this is a great way for friends and family to be apart of his life. So we are officially bloggers now. Welcome to our world!
